I’m Chris and I’m the founder of Authentic Traveling, where my passion for Nigeria grew into a dedicated group tour business. With my wife, Adenike, we run fixed-date, immersive cultural tours that make Nigeria accessible and meaningful for international travelers handling every detail from airport pickups to authentic local experiences.

Our Story
Chris, the founder of Authentic Traveling, has visited Nigeria over 50 times and has spent extended periods living there. What started as a deep personal love for the country, its culture, its people, and its food, grew into something bigger when he started sharing his experiences online and realized how many people were curious about Nigeria but had no idea how to get there safely and meaningfully.
His wife Adenike is Nigerian. She grew up in the country, has traveled to over 90 countries, and continues to run her own successful group tour business taking Nigerians abroad to see the world. Together they flipped the script and asked a different question: what if we brought the world to Nigeria instead?
That question became Authentic Traveling Tours.
